The Innovations Core aims to create new startups every year and launch each as a long-term business venture within CWIB. As a member of Innovations Core, you are expected to work with other Innovations members to create new ideas, develop ideas with high potential, and launch them if successful.
Open positions within Innovations Core:
- Innovations Generalist: As a first-year Innovations Generalist, you will undergo a full-year training program, where you will learn business modeling, market selection, and other skills adaptable for any startup environment. Your main responsibility and goal is to create new startup ideas at every Innovations's biweekly Idea Marathons. Depending on the maturity and success potential of the idea, the idea may be further selected and prepared for future launch (similar as Claremont Apparel and Moo). You will also be able to participate as a floater in any or all projects including Claremont Apparel and Moo!
- Innovations Research & Development (R&D) Analyst: As an analyst of the R&D team, you will be a member of the both the Innovations Division and the specialized Research and Development team. We will hold weekly meetings and conduct market/industry research in effort to solidify qualitative and quantitative research skills. Additionally, we will also present our research at Idea Marathons. We would encourage students across different fields of interests to apply because this would help to bring in multiple perspectives to the team. We plan to train new members in market research as well as skills such as SWOT Analysis, Supply Chain Analysis, etc.
Open positions within Claremont Apparel:
- Claremont Apparel Generalist: As a Claremont Apparel Generalist, you can choose to support any or all functions of Claremont Apparel, from sales and operations to marketing. You will be a part of the driving force for Claremont Apparel's expansion and development at CMC and across the 5Cs. At weekly meetings, you will work directly with the Executives to brainstorm strategies, create new sales and marketing campaigns, and take the lead on the initiatives about which you feel passionate. Each and every member is representative of Claremont Apparel and has the capacity of making new clients for Claremont Apparel with known organizations.
- Claremont Apparel Designer: As a designer, you will be the source of Claremont Apparel's new designs! All of your designs will be appropriately credited back to you, and you can also collaborate with other designers to make a joint design. Additionally, you will be responsible for supporting the CEO of Claremont Apparel with mock-ups and sample designs for our organizational or bulk orders. (You will be provided with Adobe Creative Suite if you do not have one.)
